IS THIS LOVE?

"Babe, you are really serious o, you can't even play me, well, I've found my Mr Right... In the next ten years, I will probably be in my husband's house... (referring to me)"; I snapped back to reality as I observed her from afar smiling and posing to the camera, who would have thought that dangote trailer would eventually pass in-between us. Nothing lasts forever indeed; but I was hoping we would be 'nothing forever', borrowing Davido's song lyrics.

As I stood watching, the words re-echoed into my ears, "Brother, I don't believe in love..."; That was Titi telling me years ago, a belief she holds till today. As I tried balancing my thoughts, for they were going astray, I couldn't, for the horse could not be bridled, I began to swim in the ocean of fantacy.

Looking into his eyes, she could feel her will crushing, she drags him forward, pressing him closer to her breast so that the two bodies can become one, she feels his heart beat racing fast, her will was no longer hers, the look in her eyes proclaims "my will is yours". She just want to be touched and dickmatized. He looked into her eyes, as the snake underneath was ready to bite, saying to her "I love you babe". Right then, the ancestral dance began, the slow and fast movement in accordance to the beat of the gods. He thrusted into her, sending in waves of emotions, the eye pupil going blank as she shouted the Alleluia chorus in form of moans.

The phenomena of love is a very complicated one that has eluded the grasp of even the most honored elite. I painted three scenery above, and factually, most of us fall into either of them. This lead me to the question, does love exist?

I've heard different opinions concerning the issue at stake, but come to think of it, is love a matter of the will or a matter of emotions,or just our hormones influencing our mental frame work. It's very rampant to hear these days that "love na scam", let's do a little analysis here.

You fall in love, the first few weeks are very intense, the mumu button is turned on, then fast forward to months or years later, the energy and vibe wanes, and then you wonder, what happened?

You fall in love and fall out of love, thus, the first premise, 'love is an emotion'; our emotions are controlled by the various existential and circumstantial experience we face daily. Hence, our emotions are not stable, little wonder, love is not stable.

Love is just an aura of the moment, when our emotions gives us a wrong signal and the hormonal discharge making numb our will; but when reason sets in, it all begin to wane. Thus, love is not real, it's just a phantom emotion.

Love is an emotion
Emotions are not stable
Love is an aura of the moment
Because of the instability of emotions
When reason sets in, those emotions wane
Therefore, love is not real.

The summary of what we call love are; lust, sex, lies, spending on partner....IS THAT LOVE?
